Dead to Me on Netflix
Type: TV Series
Jen’s husband recently died in a hit-and-run, and the sardonic widow is determined to solve the crime. Optimistic free spirit Judy has recently suffered a tragic loss of her own. The ladies meet at a support group and become unlikely friends despite their polar-opposite personalities. As the women bond over bottles of wine and a shared affinity for “The Facts of Life,” Judy tries to shield Jen from a shocking secret that could destroy her life as she knows it. The dark comedy explores the weirdly funny sides of grief, loss, and forgiveness.
Christina Applegate, Linda Cardellini, and James Marsden
Dead to Me didn’t get the hype it deserved (in my opinion). It’s definitely worth the binge! I love a twisty-turny type show. That’s the best way I can describe it. Even though it’s about a tough subject, they somehow managed to make it funny. I fell in love with this series, and the characters in Season 1 and Season two were just as good, if not better. From what I read, there will be a Season 3, though it’s likely to be the final season.
I give Dead to Me on Netflix 5 out of 5 stars.
