Podcast Summary:

Lizzie Mulder desperately wants to be part of Laguna Beach’s Maserati-driving, champagne-swilling, mansion-buying community. So she starts lying. And lying BIG: Pretending to be a CPA, swindling every client who hires her while impersonating a slew of compelling characters, and stealing people’s life savings. But a rumored extramarital affair with a local cowboy puts her on the radar of an enterprising Laguna Beach police detective who is determined to put her behind bars. Will Lizzie’s victims see justice served? And will new evidence reveal her most brazen con yet?

Heather’s Review:

I loved Queen of the Con, season 1, so when I heard that there was a season 2, I couldn’t wait to listen. I wasn’t prepared for the story of Lizzie Mulder. OMG, another insane con artist. Make sure to Google her because I was picturing her entirely differently. I’m shocked that she was able to con so many intelligent people and was able to find so many loopholes to where it could have been possible that she may not have ever been charged.

Johnathan Walton is such a great storyteller. I love that he speaks to the victims with concern and genuine care. I could listen to him all day.

My only complaint? The ads. Every single ad starts with “Boob Sweat….” I can’t. Thank goodness for fast-forwarding, or I may not have made it through the first episode.

I give Queen of the Con: The OC Savior 4.5 out of 5 stars.
