From the makers of Finding Q, this is Sweet Bobby. A live investigation, in six parts, in search of one of the world’s most sophisticated catfishers. It’s a story about who we are online and how social media can be weaponized as a tool of abuse and coercion.

Heather’s Review:

If you’ve read my other reviews, I’m definitely a sucker for a good catfishing story. This story starts off the same way that most catfishing stories start. The victim starts speaking to someone they’ve never met in person, never seen on video chat, and never spoke on the phone.

The difference is that Kirat knew of him through a family member or a friend. So, it seemed natural.

This incredibly engaging story was found out in such an interesting way. It’s a story that needed to be shared with a broader audience.

Listening to these types of stories, I think it’s easy for the listener to say that you could never let that happen to you, but manipulation is something that can happen to the best of us.

There aren’t many podcasts that I listen to without doing something else at the same time. But I found myself stopping everything just to focus on the story. It’s that interesting. Six episodes later, I can only hope that Kirat gets the justice she deserves and that she can move on from this horrible time in her life.

I give Sweet Bobby 5 out of 5 stars.
