The Mysterious Mr. Epstein
Host: Lindsay Graham
Genre: Culture, Crime
Listen on: Spotify, iTunes, Audible
We now know that Jeffrey Epstein was a sexual predator. He was also accused of fraud, embezzlement, coercion, and more. But for most of his life, he was a mystery to the public and many people who knew him. In this six-part series, we peel the layers of Epstein’s life to detail his financial and sexual crimes, and his network of enablers, with original reporting and interviews. Epstein came to amass significant wealth from humble beginnings, which he used to buy sex, social status, silence, and even justice —until the money wasn’t enough. From Wondery (“Dirty John,” “The Shrink Next Door”), and hosted by Lindsay Graham (“American Scandal”).
When it comes to the Epstein case, I’ve probably watched all the documentaries, listened to all the podcasts, and even read one book. The Mysterious Mr. Epstein was the first podcast I listened to. I found it informative and wonderfully presented, though I didn’t find that it had much more information than any of the other sources I’ve watched, read, or listened to.
One of the things I found most interesting was the number of reviews on Apple that talk specifically about this podcast, “Trump bashing.” It’s almost as though someone posted a link to the podcast somewhere on social media, and everyone who saw it wrote a review without even listening to it.
I give The Mysterious Mr. Epstein 3.5 out of 5 stars.
