Selling the OC on Netflix
Rating: TV-MA
Genre: Reality TV
Type: TV
Released: 2022
Seasons: 1
Summary:
As fans impatiently wait for Selling Sunset season 6 of the series, Netflix hopes to satisfy their appetite in the interim with the new spinoff Selling the OC. While the series zeroes in on a new area and a whole new crop of ambitious realtors, the brokerage firm at the heart of the cast is a familiar one, The Oppenheim Group. That’s right, both Jason and Brett Oppenheim are back as they attempt to launch their second office in Newport Beach, Calif.
Heather’s Review:
I have watched all five seasons of Selling Sunset. So naturally, I knew that I was going to check out what type of drama Selling the OC was going to bring.
It’s different, for sure. It’s more like an adult version of Laguna Beach or The Hills, but the entire cast are realtors. Of course there is drama and the “mean girls.” Though I felt they didn’t focus on a few of the cast members enough to really connect with them.
I do think there is possibility here but hope that they don’t take the same route they did with Selling Sunset — creating the villain and then making the story line about them. I can’t speak for everyone but I’m here for the houses just as much as the drama.
I give Selling the OC on Netflix 4 out of 5 stars.
